Blair Castle
Located at the gateway to the Cairngorms, Blair Castle is infused with a rich history which spans several centuries. It has been the home of the Atholl Family for several centuries and has witnessed both turbulent and peaceful times over the past 750 years! It has been home to soldiers, politicians, agriculturists and entrepreneurs. Today it is a beautiful venue for any event or for people to walk around and enjoy the history of her four walls.
The Ballroom
The Castle boasts a beautiful Scots-Baronial Victorian ballroom designed and completed in 1876, by Scottish architect David Bryce, designed with the vision of true elegance and grandeur for the 7th Duke of Atholl to host lavish events. The ballroom today can host up to 220 guests!
The ballroom has the most amazing acoustics, a large stage spanning the width of the ballroom, and a fine dance floor with atmospheric lighting – everything has been thought of to give any bride the most amazing day.

Winter Weddings
Winter weddings are especially appealing – you may even be lucky enough to have some snow which would complete your overall fairy-tale theme! Blair Castle offers some gorgeous accommodation on the estate, from lodges in the woods to houses and cottages, so your guests don’t have to travel too far to rest after a fabulous day. The Castle is also closed to the public during the winter months, so you really do have the castle to yourselves and can select your ceremony time with more flexibility!
