5 Points to consider when planning a wedding – and why a wedding planner might be able to help!
1. Finding Wedding Suppliers
Most people planning a wedding will start by searching the internet for wedding venues, wedding photographers, wedding flowers, dresses and cakes and good wedding bands and caterers.
The problem with this is that you can sometimes end up heading down the wedding wormhole, and how do you know if the suppliers you find are reliable, good value, good quality and able to provide you with the right ‘feel’ for your wedding?
As a wedding planner with over 20 years’ experience, I can save you time and money because all my wedding suppliers are people and companies I have worked with over many years and at many weddings. They are tried and tested – and I can highly recommend each one due to their professional ability and know they can make your wedding a dream come true.
2. It takes a long time to plan to a wedding!
If you already have a job, or a family, you may find it difficult to plan a wedding and may even up finding it a chore rather than a joyful and fun experience. That is where I come in. I do all the hard work, so that you get to enjoy the planning stage!
You shouldn’t have to spend every moment of your spare time planning your wedding – and there is a HUGE amount of admin required when planning your dream wedding. It is not the most exciting part of wedding planning and that is why, by employing a wedding planner such as myself, you are freed up to just do the bits that you like!
3. It’s a marathon, not a sprint!
Weddings take time, energy and investment (both financially, and emotionally!) and having a wedding planner will really help you with all of this. We can guide you throughout and point out any pitfalls, which will save you money and save on stress as well.
4. Weddings should be FUN!
You want to really ENJOY hosting your wedding Day, not be dealing with the logistics, or any last-minute problems. Weddings need to be organised and run to a schedule and you do need someone who oversees this. Ideally you do not want this to be yourself, or a family member, as it is much nicer if you can all enjoy the day and have fun with your friends and family instead!
5. A dream, not a nightmare
You really do not you want to look back on the wedding planning and think it was a stressful nightmare. They often say that organising a wedding is up there with having a baby and moving to a new house, and although I cannot help you with either of those things, I can help with this. Start your married life right after having experience once of the most joyful and memorable days of your life.
A Wedding planner doesn’t mean “taking over” it means offering experience and guidance and ultimately helping you to make the right decisions and choices!
