Scone Palace is the cherished family home of the Earls of Mansfield and has been so for 400 years – its site is one of the most significant in Scottish history.
Scone is at the centre of Scotland geographically and its centre historially. The chroniclers tell us of Druids, of Romans, of fantastic glimpses of kings and king making, of the high kings of the picts in their Kingdom of Scone, of the legendary kings like Macbeth and Robert the Bruce, of the stone of Scone, the Stone of Destiny on which our monarchs are still crowned. At Scone also were the first recorded Councils or Parliaments of Scotland.
Weddings can take place within the Palace State Rooms from 5.30pm onwards, for ceremonies and receptions during the months of April until October. Out with these months, they are able to offer the use of the State Rooms for ceremonies and receptions, during both daytime and evening.
Scone Palace is a superb venue for a wedding – its extremely grand but very welcoming, steeped in history it has to be one of the finest great houses of Scotland. There are wonderful policy parks on your approach to the Palace and beautiful gardens for wedding photography.
To include the Following:
Monday – Thursday for 60 persons -
Ceremony from 5:30pm
Reception Drinks, Dinner and Dancing
- Full Wedding co-ordination service prior, up to and including the wedding day
- A Celebrant
- Facility for the wedding ceremony to take place within the Drawing Room followed by drinks in the library and inner halls, Dinner in the long gallery and dancing in the dining room after dinner.
- Cash bar facility
- Three course set menu for 60 guests
- Canapés x 60 guests
- Table plan, Menu cards and Calligraphy Place cards.
- Floor length linen table cloths and Linen napkins - Fine white china - Elegant long stemmed glassware - Contemporary Montiverdi cutlery
- A Traditional Piper in full regalia - from arrivals and up to piping into dinner
- Photographer to be in attendance at the venue for up to 4 hours - to provide 50 High Resolution photographs, edited and colour corrected, photography to be complete before sitting for dinner.
- A Seasonal Hand tied bridal bouquet and Buttonhole for the Groom
- 8 elegant low central table arrangements with seasonal flowers and foliage
- Cake Flowers for a two tier caked
- Two tier wedding cake – one tier fruit and one tier sponge
Enhance your day with some additions and upgrades
Drinks packages – Champagnes – upgrades on Menus
Chair covers and sashes.
If your guest numbers are 40 or below you have the option of taking smaller rooms
At the palace – or additionally they can increase up to 110 guests – both prices are available on request
