Scottish Cathedral - Picture of a Church Alter In Scotland we have no laws on domicility making it possible to be married within a relative short period of arrival, as long as the legal paperwork is in order. However, we do advise all of our clients to arrive a few days prior to the ceremony in order that you can take the time to relax and settle, collect the marriage schedule, view the Church and meet the minister, have a rehearsal if you wish, and view the reception venue.

In Scotland you do have the choice of holding a religious ceremony almost anywhere you choose as long as an address or a grid reference of the location can be given, and we also have the ministers consent.

The Church and wedding ceremony are among the most important aspects of your special day – it is the basis of the wedding day, around which, the celebration takes place. It is the joining of two people as man and wife in their future lives together, and the coming together of two families.
