Melody with her Bridesmaid During all the years we have been planning weddings, we have never been in the situation we found ourselves with Melody and Sinclair. We not only moved the wedding once, nor twice but three times! Sinclair was a member of the Australian Forces and deployed to Iraq – every time Melody sorted out a date she was given the disappointing news that Sinclair’s R&R had been changed yet again. It did pose a big problem for them but I am pleased to say they hung in and eventually at the turn of the year, they had the date set, Sinclair had confirmed R&R dates, and they arrived in Scotland for the wedding.

They had always dreamed of marrying and staying in a Scottish Castle, with their special friends to witness their commitment to each other, the wedding had to be in the winter months and more than anything they wanted snow – Sinclair had never experienced snow in his life, he had never felt the sensation of snowflakes falling on to his skin, he had no idea what it was like to have a snowball fight and to their delight, we had snow on their wedding day!

Melody and Sinclairs Wedding - Picture of Melody and Sinclair throwing snow They also had the amazing experience of having their wedding rings flown down to them in the chapel by an owl – always a lovely sight to see, this almost silent delivery, such a graceful little bird who brings so much pleasure in what he does!

It was such an intimate day for all of us, Melody and Sinclair had some lovely pictures taken, braving the cold in handmade cloaks by Sinclair’s mum, frolicking around in this white stuff called snow! Drinks and dinner were taken in the dungeon restaurant and they all relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed the whole Scottish experience. It was a brief visit but a visit they will take back to the other side of the world and one they will cherish for the rest of their lives. We have kept in touch since they returned to Australia, Sinclair is in the home stretch now and due to return home soon to his lovely new wife.

Any request was well received and handled straight away. Especially as we were communicating from Australia, we were thoroughly impressed by how easy it all seemed, . Even when we had to change our date three times, Kimmie was able to work with us and never made it seem impossible. We are forever thankful to Litu and all the work they did to make our day happen.

All the little touches Kimmie and George added were greatly appreciated by our family and us. I can just imagine that they were somehow responsible for the pristine snow and sun shining on the day! We had a wonderful time sharing our day with them and hope to catch up with them again when next we are in Scotland or when they come to Australia.

Our wedding was a small and intimate occasion, but Kimmie and George made it feel like a huge royal affair and one we will never forget."
