Wedding of Nina & John
Do you ever meet someone and know immediately you will have a great rapport with them, something just clicks and the communication between you is easy. We felt that with John and Nina from the outset when we met them – just a lovely couple, both so normal in attitude, both easy going, and both being so involved in the planning of this special day.
It was lovely to see each taking care of certain aspects, and surprises too, and not leaving it all to one or other. Both John and Nina ran very busy lives in London, and to enable them to put together their wedding without the constant travelling up and down to Scotland, they asked us if we could work alongside them.
John hailed from Stirling in Scotland and Nina from Germany, so they were both very keen to mix the two cultures and introduce each into their wedding day. Nina travelled to the church in a beautiful classic Rolls, she was truly a very pretty radiant Bride, she had a beautiful gown and a very proud dad beside her!
From the church they made their way to the reception at Scone Palace which was very much appreciated by their guests. They had always wanted a feel of open house party, and Scone absolutely provided that atmosphere to their guests. During dinner there was one surprise that Nina had not realised was pre planned for her by her husband – they had the 3 professional singing waiters to entertain their guests at a break during dinner, they were truly spectacular, I have never seen such a responsive reception from guests to any entertainment, they were truly in awe, truly surprised and totally appreciated the great show they performed.
The chatter in the Long Gallery went up several octaves after that and they were still talking about it hours later. After taking to the dance floor to a mix of Ceilidh and live music, there was one more very special treat for all John and Nina’s guests – they were invited to come to the front of the Palace and on queue a full pipe band stuck up out in the darkness out of view of the guests – its such a mystical sound on a cold November evening and as they loomed out of the darkness into the lights of the Palace there were shreiks of delight and hand clapping in appreciation – this is another spectacle that does not fail to impress any guest let alone overseas guests – its something that you don’t see too often at weddings, but its something that has a lasting lifetime memory and for John and Nina it was a finale to end one of the biggest days in their life.
Bride and Groom's kind comment: "It is very difficult to put into words how grateful we are to you both for helping us to plan our wedding. We had the most wonderful day and we can honestly say we never worried about a thing all day! Arranging a wedding in Scotland from London was made very easy given your extraordinary service and the consistently fastest response time in history! You also easily helped us overcome the challenge of combining a mixture of guests - both local and from overseas...and in a mix of languages. Your ability to make us feel as if our wedding was always top of your agenda was remarkable and epitomises your unique service. We really hope we can stay in touch as both of you are very special people."
