Darren and Kate had already visited Dalhousie before they contacted us – they had found their perfect location for their wedding day – you know when you walk into a venue whether its what you want or not and from the moment they saw the castle they knew it was right.

Darren and Kate Wedding at a Castle in Scotland We had an amazing journey with Darren and Kate from the minute we met we all got on really well together. They both lead massively busy lives in the medical world, with working times at all ends of the day and night and so they both felt they needed some help and guidance otherwise their every free moment would be spent dealing with the wedding arrangements, and as much as we all love weddings you do need some respite from the massive amount of arranging.

Both Darren and Kate were highly organised people – must be the “ theatre training “ in them, they had every detail planned meticulously and both went to such an effort to be a huge part of the plans for the big day. I have to say I think their guests were truly overawed with the castle and its surroundings, the history, and the total atmosphere created. The Bride and Bridesmaids looked stunning – a handsome groom, the weather was good, a beautiful castle and lovely guests - what more do you need!

Little Ted the Owl flew the rings to the bride and groom – he is a very important part of the ceremony and caused quite an excitement in the chapel .Its not every day you have a Harry Potter scene at a wedding! The photo session as you can see was relaxed and fun – the bride was game for getting into some very awkward locations to get those stunning shots – the photographer was delighted!

It really was a very special day and evening – after a very relaxed and delicious buffet the bride and groom opened the dancing to Michael Ball’s Don’t want to miss a thing – they certainly didn’t miss anything out – they had given their guests the most wonderful day to remember and hopefully something they will cherish for the rest of their lives.

As we live in Nottinghamshire travelling to Scotland sourcing different people for our big day was difficult. We researched Scottish wedding planners and found Litu, owned by George and Kimmie Brown.

From the start, George and Kimmie were just our wedding planners, but as time went on, we each got to know one another through e-mail, telephone conversations, and meeting at Dalhousie castle, from then we knew we had made the right choice in having Kimme & George to arrange our big day and now they’ve become our friends.

We had no idea of what to expect, but they advised us on a realistic price for what we wanted, and unbeknown to us came up with the same castle Kate had been looking at, which met our criteria.
Their work is excellent and their suppliers provide the highest quality products and services.
Kimmie made sure our ideas and wishes were met at every stage, our happiness is central to their work and for us not to worry and enjoy our wedding day. For Litu nothing is too much trouble, and Kimmie is always on the end of the phone for advice, or just to ask questions.

Our wedding day met our expectations and was a beautiful relaxed day in a wonderful location, which went very smoothly, and this is thanks to George and Kimmie Brown of Litu. It was a day we will always cherish and remember and for that we thank you and would always recommend the work you do."
